Bitsbuffer runs people operations for a team of 21 to 50 employees using Workflow Engine, the same platform we sell to other companies. This is not a marketing claim. It is genuinely how HR for our own team runs, and building the product this way has changed what we choose to build.
Why we run on our own platform
The fastest way to find out whether an HR workflow actually works is to depend on it yourself. If a leave approval step is confusing, our own HR team notices immediately because they are the ones stuck waiting on it. That feedback loop is faster and more honest than any customer support ticket, and it shapes decisions before a feature ever reaches an outside customer.
What runs through the platform
Attendance, leave requests, performance review cycles, and EOBI and PESSI compliance for our own team all run through Workflow Engine. New hires go through the same onboarding workflow a customer's new hire would go through. Leave requests follow the same multi step approval chain. When we test a change to the approval workflow, we test it on our own team first.
What we learned from using it ourselves
The clearest lesson has been around performance reviews. Running our own quarterly review cycle through the platform exposed friction points that were not obvious from a product spec: managers needed a clearer way to see who was overdue on a review, and employees needed visibility into where their review stood without asking HR directly. Both of those became real changes to the product, driven by our own team hitting the same wall a customer would.
Why this matters if you are evaluating us
A lot of HR software gets built by teams that have never run HR for a real company at scale. We run people operations for our own team of 21 to 50 people using the exact platform we are asking you to consider, with the same compliance requirements, the same approval chains, and the same day to day friction any Pakistani SME deals with.
When something breaks or feels clunky in our own use, we are the first to know, and the incentive to fix it is immediate rather than theoretical.
Book a demo and ask us directly how we use a specific feature internally. We can usually show you exactly how it works for our own team.
